In-House

A focus on our expertise within In-House recruitment.

Our In-house team supports businesses across the UK on the recruitment of legal talent, into their in-house departments. Regardless of the level of experience required, or the industry your business is in, we have a proven track record of finding the best lawyers for your respective teams.

By taking the time to get under a company’s skin we understand what makes it tick, helping us to match candidates based not only on skills and experience, but on cultural fit too. What’s more, our in depth understanding of organisations means we can stick around for the long term, offering specialist In-house services such as tailored advertising campaigns, internal newsletters and bespoke events.

Here's what our Head of In-House, Nick Barrass, had to say:

"I love recruiting in the in-house space. I really enjoy getting to understand each and every business we work with and what makes their legal team successful. I also enjoy helping lawyers make that correct next move, whether it's a first foray in-house or a further in-house move, it feels great to help people achieve their ambitions."

If you weren’t in recruitment, what would you be doing?

I'd have loved to pursue a career in design and use some of the skills I built up from my design degree as well as a recently completed diploma in interior design.

What inspired you to pursue a career in legal recruitment?

Being married to a corporate lawyer is coming into use, I'm used to most of the terminology that's required when working in legal recruitment. Having previously worked in sales management I'm confident building a relationship with clients which will help them in their career journeys.

Tell us something that people might not know about you.

Having grown up in Wales until I was seven, I still speak Welsh almost fluently. It’s not a skill I use very often, but I love visiting my homeland whenever possible.
