Employment Solicitor

Douglas Scott are in the market for an Employment Solicitor who is experienced in both Claimant & Respondent work for a long term client who have an office based in Oldham
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized counsel to both employers and employees on various employment law matters.
• Take charge of Employment Tribunal proceedings, handling cases involving unfair dismissal, discrimination (e.g., sex, race, disability), and more.
• Oversee matters related to TUPE regulations, redundancy processes, and the transfer of business operations.
• Advise on issues surrounding restrictive covenants, breaches of confidentiality, and workplace disputes.
• Prepare and review employment contracts and staff handbooks.
• Carry out legal research and in-depth analysis to support case development.
• Draft legal documents, including court submissions and correspondence.
• Engage in discussions and negotiations with opposing legal representatives and relevant parties.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partners to create strategic plans that align with client goals.
• Actively participate in business development activities to support the firm’s growth.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Requirements:
• 2 to 8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in Employment Law.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing Employment Tribunal claims and complex legal matters.
• Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and managing client relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented and supportive environment.
• Proactive in driving business development and marketing strategies.
