The Role: As a Commercial Conveyancer, you will take full responsibility for managing your own caseload, dealing with a broad range of high-value and complex commercial property matters. Your key duties will include:
- Handling all aspects of commercial property transactions, from initial instruction through to completion.
- Acting for business owners, developers, landlords, tenants, and investors on acquisitions, disposals, leases, refinancing, and portfolio management.
- Drafting and negotiating contracts, leases, option agreements, and security documents.
- Conducting due diligence, including reviewing titles, leases, searches, and lender requirements.
- Managing complex and high-value transactions, ensuring legal compliance and risk mitigation.
- Advising clients on property investment, development, and asset management strategies.
- Liaising with clients, lenders, surveyors, and other third parties to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Supporting junior members of the team, offering mentorship and supervision where needed.
- Identifying business development opportunities, strengthening client relationships and referral networks.
- Keeping up to date with property law developments, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
What We’re Looking For: - 5+ years’ PQE in commercial property law, with a proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
- Extensive experience handling sales, purchases, leases, refinancing, and development projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial property law, title issues, and lease negotiations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- A highly organized and proactive approach, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercial awareness and problem solving abilities, ensuring practical and strategic advice for clients.
- Experience with case management systems and an ability to work efficiently with modern legal technology.
- A desire to contribute to business development and firm growth, with a client-focused approach.
