Asset-Based Lending Administrator/Paralegal

About the Role:
 
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an organised and detail-oriented Asset-Based Lending Administrator to join a dynamic legal team in Manchester. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their career in financial and legal administration within a professional and supportive environment.
 
The successful candidate will provide vital administrative support to the Asset-Based Lending Department, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction. Training and support will be provided to enhance your skills and industry knowledge.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Administrative Support – Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, ensuring the department runs efficiently.
File Management – Open case files, conduct conflict checks, and update records within the case management system.
Financial Administration – Record payments, process financial transactions, and handle client disbursements (subject to training and supervision).
Correspondence & Client Communication – Draft and issue standard letters, emails, and legal documents, responding to client and debtor queries in a professional manner.
Legal Processes – Assist in issuing legal notices, such as Letters Before Action and Winding-Up Notices, and support court applications including Charging Orders, Attachment of Earnings, and County Court Proceedings.
Phone & Email Support – Handle inbound and outbound calls with clients, debtors, and other professionals, ensuring clear and accurate communication.
Case Progression – Assist solicitors in issuing and serving Statutory Demands, Bankruptcy, and Winding-Up Petitions.
 
Skills & Experience Required:
 
Essential:

�� Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
�� Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
�� Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise
�� Commitment to delivering excellent client service
�� High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and case management
�� Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information
�� Minimum *5 GCSEs (Grades A-C)**, including Maths and English (or equivalent)
 
Desirable:

➕ Awareness or experience of legal administrative work
➕ Previous experience in a solicitor’s office or financial setting
