Associate Employment Solicitor

Birmingham – £65,000 - £85,000

Employment Associate – 2 to 7 years PQE – International Law Firm - Birmingham

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an Employment Associate to join a prestigious global law firm. The firm is looking to expand its renowned Employment & Reward Group based in Birmingham, and they are seeking talented lawyers with 2 to 7 years PQE to support their growing team.

The Role

As an Employment Associate, you will be involved in providing strategic, commercially-driven advice on a wide range of employment law issues. You will work on cutting-edge claims, corporate transactions, and advisory projects, often with an international element. Your responsibilities will include advising on complex employment tribunal claims, senior executive/boardroom matters, cross-border issues, and global mobility. You will also be involved in high-value and High Court litigation, as well as M&A and outsourcing-related work.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to develop in strategic projects, including gender pay gap audits, reward philosophy projects, and global change management exercises. You will be expected to provide innovative, commercial solutions for clients, not merely technical legal advice, fostering long-term relationships and partnerships with key clients.

About the Team

This top-tier team is widely recognised as one of the best in the UK and internationally. With offices across the UK and internationally, including in Europe, the Gulf, Asia Pacific, and Australia, the Employment & Reward Group offers unrivalled resources and expertise. You will be joining a team of highly experienced and recognised specialists, acting as trusted advisors to a range of leading FTSE blue-chip companies.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • At least 2 years of employment law experience within a commercial practice
  • Experience dealing with strategic employment law advice, complex tribunal claims, cross-border issues, and senior executive matters
  • Familiarity with high-value High Court litigation and an appetite for M&A and outsourcing work
  • A strong academic background and excellent technical legal skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to operate in a large international firm environment
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills, with a desire to contribute to the firm's growth and success
What is on offer?

This is a dynamic and growing global team offering you a platform for career progression. You will benefit from:
  • A market-leading training and career development programme
  • Early responsibility and opportunities to develop client relationships
  • Regular 121s, career discussions, and biannual appraisals
  • A collaborative and supportive working environment, with excellent long-term career development prospects
If you're looking for an opportunity to work with high-profile clients, develop your skills in a dynamic, international environment, and take your career to the next level, I'd love to have a chat with you.
