Transportation & Trade Associate

An international law firm with a strong presence in Washington, D.C., is currently seeking an Associate to join its highly regarded Transportation & Trade practice group. The firm is seeking a motivated individual with 1-3 years of regulatory experience, ideally with a background in government, regulatory, administrative law, or anti-trust matters. A keen interest in maritime and/or aviation law is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide legal support in matters related to transportation regulations, including maritime, aviation, and logistics.
- Advise clients across various aspects of the transportation industry, including ocean carriers, air carriers, cruise lines, and logistics providers.
- Draft and review commercial contracts, joint venture agreements, and other transportation-related agreements.
- Assist in regulatory compliance, government affairs, and dispute resolution related to the transportation sector.
Key Candidate Requirements: - 1-3 years of experience in regulatory, government, or administrative law, with preference given to those with experience in transportation law (aviation, maritime, logistics, etc.).
- Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills.
- A Maryland, D.C., or Virginia bar license is required, with the willingness to seek admission to the D.C. Bar if not already admitted.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in maritime or aviation law is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple priorities effectively.
