Preston / Hybrid Salary: Competitive, based on experience A respected and forward-thinking law firm is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor (5+ years' PQE) to join its thriving Preston office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-value, complex family law matters, including cases involving high-net-worth individuals, business assets, and international elements.
The Role: - Managing a caseload of divorce, financial settlements, and private children law matters, often involving high-value assets and intricate legal issues.
- Conducting advocacy in court, representing clients in contested financial and children’s proceedings.
- Providing strategic legal advice to high-net-worth and high-profile clients, ensuring discretion and a commercially focused approach.
- Working closely with expert witnesses, forensic accountants, and barristers to build and present strong cases.
- Supporting the development of the team by mentoring and supervising junior solicitors and paralegals.
- Playing an active role in business development, contributing to the firm’s strong reputation and continued growth.
What We’re Looking For: - 5+ years’ PQE in family law, with significant experience in high-value divorce and financial settlements.
- Strong advocacy skills, with experience representing clients in contested hearings.
- A proven ability to handle complex, high net-worth cases with professionalism, discretion, and strategic insight.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a client-focused and commercially aware approach.
- A proactive and ambitious mindset, with a passion for business development and client relationship management.
