We are seeking a talented 2-5 PQE Solicitor to join a leading procurement law team, based in either London or Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have strong procurement experience in both the public and private sectors and will be eager to build their career with a progressive, dynamic firm.

The Role and Responsibilities As a Procurement Solicitor, you will join a team of experts and work closely with a Partner on a variety of complex, high-profile procurement matters. You will provide strategic legal advice and support clients through every stage of the procurement process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Offering clear, commercial legal advice on public and private procurement projects, helping clients navigate the intricacies of procurement regulations, including the Procurement Act 2023.
- Preparing and reviewing tender documents, contracts, frameworks, and other procurement-related documents, ensuring they align with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assisting clients in designing effective procurement strategies, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with legal frameworks such as the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the new Procurement Act 2023.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to help clients achieve their procurement goals and resolve challenges effectively.
- Working across various sectors, providing advice on procurement processes for projects in government, health, education, technology, energy, and infrastructure.
Key Candidate Qualities The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
- A minimum of 2 years and up to 5 years’ post-qualification experience, with a strong background in procurement law.
- Solid experience working with clients in both the public and private sectors.
- A strong understanding of procurement law and regulations, including the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023, along with a proven ability to apply this knowledge to complex projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of building relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to provide practical, commercially-driven legal advice that aligns with the client’s business objectives.
- An eagerness to work within a collaborative, dynamic team, with a desire to continue developing expertise in procurement law.
