London – £130,000 - £170,000
A leading international law firm with a dynamic and forward-thinking approach is seeking a skilled Senior Associate to join their renowned Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) department. With offices across multiple jurisdictions and a diverse, global team, this firm provides top-tier legal services to clients ranging from large corporations to innovative start-ups.
As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in advising clients on a wide range of commercial matters within the technology sectors. The firm handles high-quality work for clients across industries, including life sciences, food and drink, energy, and media.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts such as licensing, collaboration, supply, and distribution agreements.
- Providing expert advice in IP, IT, data protection, and technology law.
- Working with a broad range of clients, including universities, research institutions, and businesses involved in cutting-edge technology, including life sciences and AI.
- Handling high-value transactions and advising clients on complex technology projects such as outsourcing, system development, and software contracts.
- Managing GDPR compliance projects and offering guidance on privacy regulations.
- Developing professional relationships with clients and contributing to business development and marketing efforts.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Strong experience in IP, IT, technology, and data protection law, alongside general commercial expertise.
- A minimum of 4 years PQE, ideally from a City, regional, or international firm.
- Excellent drafting skills and a practical approach to legal advice.
- A solid understanding of complex deals and the ability to manage your own files.
- Confidence in dealing directly with clients and excellent interpersonal skills.
