Catastrophic Injury Team Manager

Greater Manchester – £55,000 - £60,000

My client are a top tier, national defendant firm seeking a Catastrophic Injury Team Manager to join their team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to join a long-established firm that offers good quality work and excellent career prospects. 

As a Catastrophic Injury Team Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management of up to 12 people ranging from Paralegals to Senior Fee Earners. There would be a chance to manage your own smaller caseload should you wish, but they are also happy for someone to focus solely on management without the pressure of fee earning. 

The main responsibilities of the role will include:

• General performance management, coaching and mentoring to ensure targets are met. 
• Driving performance against targets, KPIs SLAs and SOPs to deliver excellence and financial performance for clients.
• Undertake monthly 1-2-1s with the team. 
• Actively monitor employee wellbeing.
• Identify any gaps in knowledge and implement training as and when required. 

The ideal candidate will be someone with a good understanding of Catastrophic Injury work and some previous managerial experience. Full training will be offered in addition to regular ongoing training alongside other team managers. 

Please note, this role will require occasional travel to other offices to include Liverpool, Leeds or London.
