My client, a global law firm with a renowned Intellectual Property & Technology Practice is seeking a skilled
Patent Litigation Attorney to join its team based in Washington D.C. This practice group consists of approximately 100 attorneys who counsel clients throughout the life cycle of their most critical assets, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and related intellectual property rights.
The firm’s Patent Litigation team excels in combining trial and appellate expertise, strategic approaches, and technical acumen to protect and enforce clients' patent rights, with a focus on the life sciences and technology sectors.
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct invalidity analyses of patents and prior art.
- Draft IPR/PGR petitions and associated legal and technical arguments and briefs.
- Collaborate with experts and prepare expert testimony.
- Conduct and defend expert depositions.
- Engage in oral advocacy before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of six years of post-grant proceedings experience.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Demonstrated patent litigation experience before the PTAB.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
