A UK top 10 firm with a significant international presence is seeking a Managing Associate specialising in contentious construction. This role offers a competitive salary starting at £70,000 and provides the opportunity to work on high-profile cases across both national and international platforms.

Your Role:
  • Handle complex construction and engineering disputes, including adjudication, arbitration, litigation, mediation, and other forms of ADR.
  • Offer live project advisory support in key sectors such as infrastructure, energy, and real estate.
  • Build and maintain strong, sustainable client relationships by delivering insightful, commercially focused advice.
  • Explore secondment opportunities with clients or within the firm's project management office.
  • Play a pivotal role in the growth of the firm while advancing your own career through world-class training and development programs.

1. What were you doing before you joined Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment?

Prior to starting at Douglas Scott, I graduated from The University of Strathclyde with a Psychology degree. I then joined another legal recruitment firm in Manchester where I focused on the Chicago legal market for 10 months.

2. What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

I am looking forward to getting to know the team at Douglas Scott. I am also excited to gain expertise in a new legal market hopefully making lots of successful placements!

3. If you weren’t in recruitment what would you be doing?

If I didn’t go into recruitment, I would have most likely completed my master’s in forensic psychology and pursued a career in that field.

Something people might not know is I was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland.
