Location: Liverpool (with hybrid working – 3 days from home)

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Claims Handler to join the Disease Litigation team of a Legal 500 firm. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working, excellent perks, and the chance to work with high-profile insurer and corporate clients.
 
The Role:
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of litigated disease claims, including noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL), HAVS, upper limb disorders, and asbestos-related injuries. They will also support senior colleagues with complex and high-value cases, gaining exposure to a variety of work within an experienced and well-established team.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a caseload of disease claims efficiently and effectively.
  • Drafting legal documents, including strategy reports, pleadings, and advice.
  • Conducting legal research and investigations.
  • Attending conferences, court hearings, and client meetings.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other parties.
  • Contributing to business development and client relationship initiatives.
  • Meeting deadlines, targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
About You:
The ideal candidate will have experience handling NIHL, HAVS, and asbestos-related claims. A background as a Paralegal, Legal Executive, or Solicitor with up to 3 years of PQE is preferred. The role requires strong litigation skills, technical ability, and a client-focused approach.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • IT proficiency and experience with legal case management systems.
