Tech & IP Associate

Greater London – £85,000 - £100,000


We are seeking a skilled Managing Associate to join our clients team, specializing in Tech, IP & Data in one of their major UK offices.
This role is integral to supporting their public sector clients, dealing with a variety of technology projects and providing advice on tech procurement and outsourcing.

In this role, you will manage diverse projects with oversight from senior partners as needed. You will work with prominent clients and become a specialist in public sector technology. The firm offer tailored training to develop your technical, commercial, and management skills.

The team provides comprehensive advice on ICT procurement, outsourcing, cloud services, e-commerce, social media, and data privacy. Our clients range from innovative start-ups to major international manufacturers and public sector entities.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate on high-value, strategic public procurements and contracts.
  • Offer non-contentious advice on various technology projects including software purchases, cloud migration, and outsourcing.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members.
  • Engage in business development, prepare pitches, and build client relationships.
  • Work on-site with clients as required, including virtual and in-person secondments.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Proven experience in leading technology transactions and procurements for public sector clients.
  • Minimum 4 years PQE in a relevant legal team.
  • Self-motivated with ambitions to lead complex client work.
  • Excellent technical skills in negotiating, drafting, and advising on complex contracts.
  • Client-focused with a knack for building long-term relationships.
  • Driven to contribute to the team's success locally and nationally.
