Vehicle Hire Supervisor

Birmingham – £28,000 - £35,000

My client is an international law firm, and they are looking to recruit a supervisor to join their vehicle hire team in Birmingham.

The need to hire a supervisor has arisen due to bringing in a new client. In the role you will be managing a small team of 5 Paralegals, imparting your technical knowledge to ensure the cases run smoothly. Your team will be managing vehicle hire claims from small track to multi track including fraudulent credit hire claims, as well as dealing with liability, indemnity and associated losses including personal injury, credit repair and diminution. You will initially handle a small caseload of around 20 files, but with the end goal to be a solely supervisory role.

The salary for the role will be £35K + bonus with an OTE of c£40K. You will be expected to be in the office 3 days a week with 2 days WFH. There are also a host of fantastic benefits that includes 25 days AL plus bank holidays, private medical and dental insurance, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, sabbaticals up to 12 months and many more.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience handling either vehicle hire claims, fraudulent claims or PI claims with ambitions to progress into a managerial role. The role is a defendant role but if you are from a claimant background looking to get into a defendant role you will also be considered too.

There are also opportunities for career progression. My client wants you to stay long term and as a result you will be encouraged to progress within the firm but also given opportunities to qualify if that's what you are looking for. You will have your CILEX funded or put through a training contract to get you to where you want to be.

If you'd like to hear any more about the role, please get in touch.

What’s one goal you’re working towards this year?

Professionally I am working toward Senior Consultant, pretty close now will have that in the bag by the end of the year. Personally I am looking to move house, need something a bit bigger and something with a garage so I can tinker.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

Don't get much chance to unwind with a 2-year-old, my unwinding is the tram journey home. I do love coming home and spending quality time with my family though, nothing beats that.

If you weren’t in recruitment, what would you be doing?

Well my degree is in in microbiology focused heavily on soil so probably that. Glad I'm not though I don't think I would be able to handle all that excitement...
