A highly regarded law firm in Bristol is seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor to join their long-established team and work alongside a specialist in the Court of Protection industry.

The successful candidate will be working on all aspects of Court of Protection for both elderly clients and individuals who have suffered brain injuries. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Making applications to appoint replacement trustees
  • Statutory will, gifting and compromise applications
  • Deputyship Administration
  • Investigating and reinstating the incapacitated person’s estate
  • Working with other teams in the firm where the client requires litigation to be undertaken on their behalf
  • Applications for recognition and enforcement
The ideal candidate must have strong Court of Protection experience, particularly within elderly care work.

Stick with it! It can feel completely overwhelming at first, (especially when you come in with no legal knowledge like I did!), but once it clicks it really is such a rewarding career.
