A leading global law firm is seeking a talented Supreme Court / Appellate Litigation Associate to join it's Washington, D.C. office. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated attorney with a strong appellate background who is passionate about handling complex, high-stakes appellate cases.
 
The Opportunity
Our client’s Appellate Litigation team represents clients in landmark cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and federal courts of appeals. Known for their work on precedent-setting issues, the team’s attorneys have shaped significant areas of law and consistently deliver exceptional results. The successful candidate will play a critical role in all aspects of the appellate process, from crafting persuasive briefs to presenting oral arguments, collaborating with top legal minds in a supportive and intellectually rigorous environment.
 
Key Qualifications:

• Appellate Clerkship Experience: Prior clerkship experience with the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) or a federal court of appeals is required.
• Strong Research and Writing Skills: Exceptional legal research and writing abilities are essential, with a demonstrated record of excellence in preparing appellate briefs and memoranda.
• Stellar Academic Credentials: A strong academic record from a leading law school, coupled with intellectual curiosity and a commitment to excellence.
• Admitted to the DC Bar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting in-depth legal research and drafting high-quality briefs, memoranda, and appellate arguments.
• Collaborating with partners and team members to develop innovative legal strategies.
• Engaging in moot court exercises, preparing for oral arguments, and assisting in appellate advocacy.
• Providing guidance to junior associates and contributing to thought leadership within the team.
