My client is a U.S. global law firm, recognized for its top-tier patent litigation practice and its leadership in the life sciences and technology sectors. The Patent Litigation team is consistently ranked among the best in major legal directories, leveraging specialized technical expertise across scientific and engineering disciplines. This group handles high-stakes patent disputes, with experience that spans national and international jurisdictions.
The Opportunity: I'm looking to speak to Patent Litigation Associates with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience to join their thriving team. The role offers the chance to work on complex patent cases, including disputes over infringement, validity, ownership, Standard Essential Patents (SEP), and licensing. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in cross-functional collaboration, contributing to cases with elements of life sciences regulation, competition law, and IP licensing.
Key Responsibilities: - Managing a variety of patent disputes, such as infringement and validity cases.
- Engaging with teams on related matters, including competition law and regulatory issues.
- Contributing to knowledge management and business development activities.
- Depending on experience, guiding and mentoring junior team members.
Ideal Candidate: - Proven skills in patent litigation and a passion for intellectual property law.
- Strong business development interest, with client-facing experience.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
