British Summer Time, which begins each year at 01:00am GMT on the last Sunday of March will end as usual at 02:00 BST on the last Sunday of October. We have actually been experiencing less and less daylight since
June 21, the Summer Solstice and longest day of the year. This will be the case until December 21st, the Winter Solstice and shortest day of the year.
We made our first 2018 placement in June and now have a number of January, February and March start dates lined up for candidates. It is worth remembering that Partners, Associates, Solicitors and Legal Executives will generally be looking at 3 to 6-month notice periods before they can start their new legal job. It is also often the case with qualified or non-qualified Residential Conveyancers.
If you are considering a move in 2018, maybe as part of a strategy to maximise salary in the first 10 years of your career or for progression or simply a new challenge then now is the best time to have that conversation.
