Onwards and upwards for the Legal Services market

The Legal Services sector received a boost recently when the Law Society forecasted continuing growth in 2014 and 2015 with nearly 5% growth predicted in 2015 which is close to pre-recession levels.

The Law Society cited the improvement in the performance of the UK Business sector and increase in housing market activity as the main factors driving the growth. 

It's a great time to be a Lawyer. Many firms are reporting an increase in Trainee retention rates and through research conducted as part of our 2014 Salary and Benefits Bench Marker, the SRA advised us that 5,426 Training Contracts were registered in 2013, up 2.25% on the previous year. The barriers to Qualification are also being removed with the introduction of Legal Apprenticeships and recent SRA reforms which will make it easier for Paralegals to take the step up.
