It's Pull Not Push for This Years' NQ's

It was great meeting the next generation of legal talent at our Leeds and Manchester qualification talks over the past couple of weeks. It’s certainly an exciting time to qualify, with NQ job openings now back to pre-recession levels, meaning NQ’s are now more bullish than ever about career prospects – and rightly so. It’s so important to not  let yourself be pushed into specialisms by employers or recruiters - and essential that you follow the career path that’s right for you.

Our talks this year looked at the importance of considering all options on the table, and in particular to focus on where you want to be in four years’ time. We also highlighted some key findings from our own Salary and Benefits Survey; how long legal professionals are staying in their roles, and the key drivers behind their decisions to move on. Thank you to all the trainee lawyers in Leeds and Manchester that came along. Never one to rest on our laurels, we always ask for feedback after the talks so that we can improve and deliver content and insight that is of real use.
