If you have read our website, and feel you would like to join a growing business with a great reputation in the market, we would like to hear from you. Douglas Scott were established in 2004 as a legal recruitment consultancy by two directors who shared a vision – to provide cost-effective, pragmatic and efficient recruitment solutions to clients, giving them what they wanted not what recruiters thought they wanted. By remaining true to this vision, Douglas Scott have expanded into new sectors in Sales & Marketing and Accounts & Professional Support, and into new areas in Yorkshire, the Midlands, Merseyside and the South West. We are always on the lookout for talented individuals to join our team, either from industry or with previous recruitment job experience. In the past we have taken on ex-solicitors, internal recruiters and specialist sector recruiters from all sectors. Naturally you must complement our existing teams by having experience in one of our specialist fields. You must also be educated, preferably to degree level and ideally in a business or related discipline with solid work experience behind you. However we will also consider applications from highly experienced recruiters who may not fit into one of our market sectors exactly but may have an idea for a new desk in a related field. You must appreciate that a recruitment consultant job is a sales based role; therefore any experience in sales, with consistently strong billings, would be an advantage. That said if you can bring skills to the table that we don’t already have, and have an appreciation of what recruitment job consultancy entails, we will consider any application. Your day could typically involve reviewing new candidates that apply to positions, discussing new and existing jobs that you have with candidates to match their CV’s, contacting new and existing clients and selling the benefits of using Douglas Scott to recruit for their positions, developing your business area by identifying new clients that we have not traded with previously and putting plans in place to market your recruitment consultancy services to the industry. In return we can offer you a competitive basic salary, a bonus structure linked to your success, 25 days holiday as standard, a company mobile phone for contacting candidates and clients outside of office hours, and home access if required. We can also offer you a friendly and supportive working environment where you will meet with committed recruiters and specialists in their field who appreciate the value of hard work and who put in 100% effort daily to ensure results. You will also be invited to take part in any number of out of work activities with the team including team meals and nights out, a 5-a-side football team and sponsored charity events that we have been known to enter. You will be expected to work from 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday as standard, though your workload may require you to work beyond these hours on occasion. Our outstanding IT, database, advertising and marketing resources will also be made available to you in full, giving you every chance of succeeding with us. If this opportunity appeals to you and you would like to speak to us in complete confidence, please feel free to contact Kathryn Riley directly by email ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or by phone on 0800 043 2595. |
