The offer

Securing your dream job is a fantastic feeling but sometimes the details of the offer and contract may be cause for discussion.

There is often a stage between receiving and accepting an offer that can be overlooked. The offer may not be perfect for a number of reasons that could include the salary or benefits attached to the role, the contractual terms, the training on offer, opportunities to progress within the firm, a conflict with other offers you may have received – the list is ongoing. We can help you manage the offer process by acting as an intermediary, and ensuring you do not have to be exposed to the awkwardness of such negotiations.

As a candidate, you must be completely happy and secure in accepting any offer, and we will make sure that you are fully aware of all elements of the offer before you make a decision. It is in nobody’s interest for you to accept an offer unless you are completely happy with all aspects of it, as this could result in you having to look for another role soon after starting.

By having Douglas Scott as an impartial third party to advise on any negotiations, we can offer you independent advice, make sure the terms are completely to your satisfaction, and negotiate for you until they are.

Once satisfied with an offer, and when you are ready to accept, we can manage the flow of documents and contracts, and will even advise you on how best to part company with your existing employer. We offer this service to all our candidates as standard, removing the stress from what for some can be a challenging situation.
