The Court of Protection is the judicial body in England and Wales responsible for managing the affairs, assets and estates of anyone who does not have capacity to manage their own finances.
The team has a strong reputation in dealing with the full range of Court of Protection services including deputyship services, gifts, Statutory Wills and personal injury trusts. We are the largest provider of Court of Protection Services in the country and already have dedicated departments located in Newcastle, Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge and London that provide a specialist nationwide service. Our team based approach means we work with colleagues to combine legal expertise from financial management, planning, investment, taxation and returns to the Court.
This is a superb opportunity for you to hone your skills and experience within an established and innovative environment. Post-holders can expect to deal with vulnerable clients on a day to day basis.
You will be a team player with strong communication skills and an understanding of client care. Preferably, you will have experience of working in a legal environment ideally within a similar role within COP or Private Client and an understanding of office procedures, along with a pro-active approach and the ability to work on your own initiative, managing your time to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will have empathy to people with disabilities, a professional telephone manner with strong attention to detail and sound IT skills.
